Build a simple video calling site

Video calling looks heavy from the outside. A first version is smaller than it seems: a page, two video elements, camera permission, and a way to send the stream to another browser.

HTTPS is required in most browsers before the camera opens. That is one reason the XAMPP HTTPS note exists on this site.

Start with getUserMedia for the local camera. Then add a signaling step so two people can find each other. Keep the UI quiet: mute, camera off, and leave.
